2021 Wedding Trends | Jubilee Weddings and Events

Each year we see trends change. Sometimes drastically, and sometimes they stay the same! We all know that 2020 was quite the year, and with that, comes big changes. Whether it’s in our personal lives or the wedding industry, we all must adapt!

In today’s post, we will be sharing the top trends of 2021 in each category. Colors, Decor, Venues, Design. To see the entire list go to The Knot.

1. Welcoming Your Guests

Because the guest list must be a bit smaller due to the pandemic, many couples are looking to create welcome boxes for their guests. Whether this has the itinerary or just a sweet little gift to thank them for coming, it’s a sweet gesture.

2. Mis-matched seating

Because of the 6 ft apart rule, couples are looking for creative ways to keep their guests safe, but comfortable! Comfy seating can have a lot of fun aspects to it. From big comfy chairs to sweet and simple padded chairs - it can be a good addition! Plus, since you’re saving money by having a smaller guest list, you can splurge on these kinds of things.

3. Mini Cakes & Dessert

Since there are fewer guests attending your wedding, mini desserts have been a HUGE hit. They’re simple, not as pricey, and there’s usually not a waste of food. Also, just how adorable are they? They can be decor AND are edible… yes, please.

4. Being More Spontaneous Hosting a big wedding is fun and all, but being spontaneous can be more fun! Whether it’s an elopement or having your guests go on a road trip to meet you in the mountains, being flexible these days is a positive thing. We’ve done many elopements during this uncertain time, and although we love a grand wedding, the intimate ones are also nice. Remember, you can still have the big wedding once this is all over

5. To-Go Cocktails

We don’t know about you, but we’ve definitely ordered a margarita or two during the quarantine days - and with that being said, many companies have come up with already mixed drinks in beautiful cans! Why not use these for your wedding? Just provide the glass and the cute straws - BOOM! A fun and innovative way to spice up the cocktails.

6. Colors With A Breath Of Fresh Air Colorful weddings are IN this year. Maybe it’s because we all need a bit of brightness in our lives, or because they’re just pretty and people are bored of white and neutrals… but we’re loving it. What color would you choose for your big day? From blues and greens to pinks and reds - it’s our time to SHINE with colors.

Obviously, this year feels different for all of us - but it’s our chance to make the best out of the situation, right? We hope you’ll utilize some of these trends and create a magical day for yourselves! In the Seattle area? We’d love to help!
