What To Wear As A Guest To A Winter Wedding | Jubilee Weddings and Events

The dreaded question, and decision... what do you wear as a guest to a winter wedding? As the weather changes, so does your wardrobe, and sometimes, especially if you're attending a formal wedding, it makes it hard to dress appropriately!

If the wedding that you're attending is inside, bring a big coat! Ladies, wear that dress you bought over the summer, but bundle up with a trench coat, or even a big rain coat, depending on where you're located. Here in the Pacific Northwest, rain is the biggest obstacle. Maybe even throw a pair of heels in your bag and wear your rain boots to protect your feet from getting wet! Gentleman, you can't go wrong with a pair of slacks, a long sleeve button down, and a nice jacket! Roll up those sleeves, take off your jacket, and enjoy the evening inside.

If the wedding you're attending is outside, but in a tent, we recommend bundling up! A tent may protect you from the rain, but it won't protect you from the chilly, brisk wind! Ladies, think about a long maxi dress with tights, even leggings underneath, with a bigger coat. You will ROCK that! Gentleman, once again, you have it easy... Just dress up your coat selection.

All in all, the winter months are tough to dress for! But, we're all in the same boat, and no one will fault you for putting those thick leggings on. After all, the more comfortable you are, the more fun you will have.
