  1. Choose the right venue: Take advantage of the gorgeous summer weather by choosing outdoor locations like gardens, beaches, or vineyards for that wonderful summery feel, but try to have a backup plan in case the weather isn’t in your favor that day.

  2. Time it right: Schedule your ceremony and reception to avoid the hottest part of the day, which usually occurs in the mid-afternoon. Consider a morning or evening wedding for a cooler and more comfortable temperature.

  3. Keep guests comfortable: Make sure to provide ample shade and seating for guests to stay out of the direct heat. Consider supplying cool beverages, fans, or sunblock as little favors for the ceremony.

  4. Think about attire: Opt for lightweight, breathable fabrics for both the bride and groom and your entire wedding party. Keep in mind lighter, breathable attire if you want to require a strict dress code for guests.

  5. Plan for bugs: If your wedding is outdoors, have insect repellent available for guests, and consider citronella candles to keep bugs at bay.

  6. Consider food and drink: Choose a menu with light, refreshing options like salads, fruit, and grilled dishes. Signature cocktails with summer flavors can be a hit. Make sure to also provide an overabundance of water before, during, and after the ceremony.

  7. Send out invitations early: Summer is an incredibly popular time for weddings, so send out your invitations as early as possible, to ensure guests can plan accordingly and it allows for a better head count of all vendors and planners.

By considering these tips, you can ensure your summer wedding is a beautiful and memorable event for everyone involved!
